Architecture Photos

Monday, March 19th, 2007

While sorting out my family’s photographs I put my Dad’s architecture pictures to one side. I recently took time to study them properly and was really excited by what I found.

My Dad studied architecture in Belfast 1964-67 and later in Leeds 1969-72 around the time the photographs were taken.

British Seaside Holiday Cabins

Monday, March 5th, 2007

I’m not sure what to call these cabins. I keep finding them on trips to the seaside. Most recently on the East Yorkshire Coast. View all cabin photos.

Great Grandparents and the Forth Bridge

Saturday, February 10th, 2007

My Great Grandparents look young, this photo could have been taken around the time they were married in 1908. I can only imagine how spectacular the Forth Bridge was at that time, it’s still an amazing sight today.

I would love to know if this was taken in their hometown of Glasgow or as a souvenir from a visit to the Forth Bridge or Edinburgh.

Photobooth Friday

Friday, January 26th, 2007

I’m a fan of Hula Seventy’s Photobooth Friday. This is the first time I have found a photobooth picture in a second hand shop and in true Hula Seventy style I’m calling her Joan. Taken by Jerome Studios, Newcastle-upon-Tyne on 24 March 1964.
